Rootfire has a growing menu of smaller products like cutting boards and knife blocks. I offer custom design in furniture such as beds, tables, dressers and millwork. We can collaborate in the design process to make the perfect piece to suit you.

Furniture

A custom furniture maker can offer what box stores cannot. A design that fits you perfectly, a product made with love, the best customer service possible and a connection to the maker. All my products are built to become heirlooms. I also focus on using reclaimed wood, as well as local woods like burr oak, black ash and tamarack.

Cabinets and Built-Ins

Custom work gives customized results. I will work alongside a designer to give you the kitchen of your dreams. Built-in shelving, desks and shadow boxes are other projects that can make dramatic changes in your home or cottage.

Boxes, Turnings and More

Small items can make a big impact. Special items sometimes need a special home. Boxes can be made as shown here, and also at the lathe, and thus round. I also take custom orders for funerary boxes to house the remains of loved ones.
